How to Repair a VHS Rewinder

VHS rewinders are devices made specifically to rewind a video tape at a faster speed than a standard VCR. With the rewinder as a separate device, you don't need to waist time waiting for the video tape to finish rewinding after a movie has finished. Instead, you can take the tape out, replace it with a different movie, and rewind the first tape as the new one plays. However, the VHS rewinder can run problems while in use, and if you want to ensure the rewinder doesn't damage your tapes you need to correct any issue it is having.
Instructions
Spray a few shots of compressed air into the interior of the VHS rewinder. If dirt or other debris begins to build up on the inside of the device it can scratch the tape of the video tape.
Hold down the "Eject" button and pull the lid of the rewinder up if the take deck is stuck. Sometimes the deck to the device sticks and won't left up after the rewind has finished and needs some help.
Avoid rewinding the same tape multiple times in the VHS rewinder. Due to the excessive speed of the rewinder it weakens the durability of the VHS tape and can eventually rip the tape.
Unplug the VHS rewinder from the wall if it is begining to overheat. With the motor moving so fast on the device it can start to heat up, and if used repetitively it does grow hot to the touch.
